Welcome to the Alaska Haskap Farm

A permaculture farmstead with a focus on two specific northern super-berries,

the Haskap-Honeyberry and Saskatoon berry.

Alaska Honeyberry Farm was created from a desire to build a small scale, sustainable farmstead and food forest based on holistic and permaculture principles. While research has led us toward northern super-berries, we consider the site a test garden for our unique climate. are transforming the property by both enriching the native ecosystem as well as enhancing it with nutrient dense perennial berries.

As our farm grows and our harvests increase, our goals are to support the needs of our family, community and eventually the state with botanicals, berries, herbs, flowers, products, education and more.

Our operational intention is based on long term soil health using holistic permaculture practices, insect/pollinator support, and growing climate specific species that have a low impact on the environment and a high output of nutrient dense food.

While awaiting and preparing for our first commercial harvest, we will be planting more species of Honeyberry and Saskatoon until the orchards are at capacity. Our annual garden is getting enclosed to increase protection and production, and we will continue to build infrastructure for the storage and processing of the berries which will include a certified DEC kitchen for commercial product production.

We are on track to have our first commercial berry crop available Summer of 2024.

Explore our site to learn more about these berries, permaculture and our farm.

We will update and add products as they become available.
